We desire to see middle and high school students experience the love of God, understand who they are in Christ, and learn that their lives have a purpose in the Kingdom of God. We are passionate about serving families and we are honored to come alongside the teenagers in our church and guide them towards a life in Christ. Through regular Sunday activities and various events/trips throughout the year, we hope to give our teens plenty of opportunities to learn and grow into the young men and women God has called them to be.
Confirmation
Confirmation is a year long experience for sixth-grade students (and any older students who wish to join) to build a biblical foundation, grow in faith, and take ownership of their faith in Christ. Students will learn the essential Christian teachings, have space to ask tough questions, and have the opportunity to confirm their identity as children of God and members of Milledgeville First Methodist Church. This journey includes large group classes, father-led discipleship, serving with a mentor, and a spring retreat, For students who have not been baptized, they will have the opportunity to do so prior to being confirmed.
